Urgent Update from NAAMAT Israel

Operation Protective Edge

Despite the recent hope that there might be a cease-fire, rockets have continued to rain down in southern Israel and as well as in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. The first Israeli civilian casualty was announced July 15. NA’AMAT Israel has been systematically checking on our 233 Day Care Centers, located all over Israel, to determine the extent of the need to reinforce our facilities and safeguard our children and caregivers. Many of our older buildings situated in densely populated areas in the middle and north of Israel are in great need of updated safety equipment including new state -of-the -art doors for the safe rooms that protect the children in our Day Care Centers. The safety and well-being of the children in our care are of utmost importance and concern during this difficult time. I urge you to send your donation to NA’AMAT USA now. Together we will ensure that these safety measures will protect the 18,000 young children in our care. Your help at this critical time will provide support for necessary upgrades for the centers, and allow the parents to continue with their daily lives knowing that their children are in a secure and loving environment.

“Please convey our heartfelt gratitude and utmost appreciation to your Board and members of NA’AMAT USA! We know we can count on one another and it gives us a feeling of solidarity, that we are not alone!”

THEY HAD LESS THAN ONE MINUTE TO FIND SAFETY.

YOU CAN HELP IN LESS THAN FIVE.

Staff and children huddle together in a safe room at a NA’AMAT daycare center. The daily air-raid sirens and ever-present threat of rocket attacks feed anxiety and insecurity that is profoundly disturbing for the children. Can you spare five minutes to help?
