It is my pleasure to write to you today on behalf of NA’AMAT’s Scholarship Fund. Connecting with others, such as yourself, who share the same passion for supporting Jewish Women Scholars, and consequently all of us, as I do, is an honor I’m proud to continue. You may already know that there continues to be a need to involve more women across the globe in the fields in which they are typically underrepresented. These fields include (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Thanks to generous donors like you, NA’AMAT is able to continue to provide scholarships & grants that enable opportunities for talented women in STEM to be taken advantage of and allow them to overcome social and financial obstacles to advance and pursue groundbreaking research. The world will not lose out thanks to your generous financial contribution.
As you may know, when you invest in these women via NA’AMAT’s scholarship program, you are investing in a more enlightened and prosperous future for all humanity. Every year, several hundred recipients of these NA’AMAT scholarships and research grants work tirelessly to improve care delivery, redefine human relations, design new methods to grow food, create novel ways to fight chronic diseases, and make travel safer. As we anticipate International Women’s Day, we hope you’ll find it in your heart to continue to support the women who will help shape our future.
Here are examples of the amazing accomplishments of our 2025 scholarship/grant recipients:
- Shoshan – Sustainable Agriculture & Humanitarian Work
- Along with her travels around the world, Shoshan was motivated to found Fair Planet NPO, which aims to improve the harvest and livelihood of smallholder African farmers by providing them access to professional high quality seed varieties.
- After her release from Hamas captivity she joined the advisory council of Hostage Aid Worldwide, a non-profit NGO dedicated to the release of hostages globally and prevention of acts of hostage taking.
- Hagar – building a safer female pedestrian experience
- “Your support enables me to deepen my investigation into how fear is embodied, how it shapes movement and behavior, and how such knowledge may contribute to the design of safer, more inclusive, and more just urban environments: both in times of emergency and in times of peace.”
Through your generous and unwavering support, these and other young women will now be able to pursue their dreams and make significant contributions in their chosen field of study. The commitment you have shown will allow these young women to build on Israel’s tremendous accomplishments in intellectual and technological advancements as well as to continue to heighten the status of women and promote greater equality in Israeli society.
You may already have donated in the past, for which we are so grateful. This year we hope that you will seriously consider continuing to invest in women who will lead us to a brighter future through their research and education. If this is your first time considering a donation, we thank you for opening your heart to the possibilities that lie ahead for these deserving women. Their work improves the future for all of us.
