As American Jews, the NA’AMAT community is deeply concerned about the rise in antisemitism on college campuses. University presidents and administrators have been slow to condemn (or not at all) the hate speech against Jews voiced at rallies and marches through their campuses. Is this free speech or moral bankruptcy and a lack of moral clarity on these campuses? University administrators and security chiefs are telling Jewish students to stay home while these rallies are occurring. What is the responsibility of universities (Penn, Harvard, Cornell, NYU, Berkeley, Yale to name a few) to guarantee the freedom of speech and congregating to Jewish students?
Join ADL’s Regional Director, Peter Levi for a better understanding of what is happening on campuses across the country, and what can be done to counter antisemitism in these institutions.
Please also note that in collaboration with Hillel International, the ADL has created this resource you can share with your own college students: Campus Antisemitism Legal Line (CALL)
