“Rock in the Red Zone”
For the past 15 years, the Israeli town of Sderot, on the edge of the Negev, has been bombarded with rocket fire from the Gaza strip. Despite the daily trauma of air raid sirens, missile explosions & regular runs to bomb shelters, the people of Sderot have managed to thrive as the epicenter of a music revolution. In a bomb shelter turned rock club, a community of young artists-mainly of Moroccan, Kurdish & Persian descent-has found an artistic outlet for their anger and hope.
As our fundraising this past year was dedicated to the Women’s Shelter of Sderot- this film will give you even greater insight into the daily struggles of the people of Sderot.
$7/ticket if we have a group of 10-all money must be pre-paid to the office by August 17 or we will not go as a group.
