Centennial Celebration

Toronto, May 16-18, 2025

Dear Chaverot,

After months of anticipation and planning, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally just days away — our Centennial Celebration is almost here!

Weekend Schedule: Here is the most up-to-date schedule for the weekend. Please review it carefully. A copy will be in your welcome bag!

Two key highlights:
  • Shabbat Dinner will begin around 7:45 p.m. on Friday. We suggest having a light snack beforehand — there are several restaurants nearby, including one conveniently located in the hotel lobby. You’re also warmly invited to stop by our Hospitality Suite (Room 1907) between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. for a nosh, a chat, and a friendly welcome.
  • Formal Photos Before the Banquet: We’d also like to highlight that each country will be taking formal photos prior to the banquet, followed by full group shots with all attendees.
Photo sessions will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Please refer to the photo schedule included in your welcome bag to find the time slot for your city and other group photos. We kindly ask that you arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time to help everything run smoothly.
Getting to the Hotel & Around Toronto

From Pearson International Airport (YYZ):

  • Take an Uber or Limo (same price as a taxi) – approx. $50–$75 CAD.
  • We do not recommend UP Express, as it does not go near the hotel and offers little time or cost savings.

From Union Station or Billy Bishop Airport:

  • Uber: Approx. $35–$45 CAD directly to the hotel.
  • Public Transit (TTC): Line 1 subway to North York Centre Station, located inside the hotel building. Note: There are stairs and occasionally unreliable elevators/escalators, so this may not be ideal with luggage.
  • Payment: Tap your credit card (no cash accepted), fare is $3.30.
Getting Around
  • The hotel is ~30 minutes from downtown via subway.
  • For shopping, the Eaton Centre is about 15 km away; Yorkdale Shopping Centre is just under 10 km (15–20 mins by Uber).
What to Wear
  • Weather is expected to be in the low 20s °C / ~70°F, with possible showers — perfect spring weather!
  • Layers are key, and an umbrella and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended, especially if you will be on the walking tour.
  • For the banquet: cocktail dresses or pantsuits for women, suits for men.
  • The rest of the weekend: dresses, skirts, or pants — wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable!
  • Hotel rooms can get chilly, so a sweater or shawl is a smart addition.
Pins, Memorabilia & Memories

Bring your pins and wear them with pride! Past Presidents — now is the perfect time to wear your President’s pin! Let’s see how they’ve changed over the years. Have program books, souvenirs, or photos from past fundraisers? Let’s take a stroll down memory lane together — we’d love to see how far back we can go!

Special Exhibit of Interest

Something that may be of particular interest — though not included in our Explore Toronto guide — is the Nova Exhibition Toronto, an in-depth and powerful remembrance of the October 7th massacre at the Nova Music Festival.
This moving exhibit offers a space for reflection, solidarity, and remembrance, and may be meaningful for those who wish to take time during the weekend to honor the lives lost.
