The Cologne Peace Daycare Center in Jaffa is unique among NA’AMAT facilities in Israel. It was the first daycare center to offer bilingual (Hebrew and Arabic) education and the first to serve a mixed population of students. Of the 67 children currently enrolled in the center approximately half are Jewish, one-quarter are Arabic-Muslim and one-quarter are Arabic-Christian.
US delegates meet Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, attend groundbreaking for a new day care center.
Leaders of NA’AMAT USA joined representatives of the organization from Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Argentina, Uruguay and Israel last week for the first NA’AMAT International Solidarity Conference in Israel. The delegation, led by national president Elizabeth Raider, were special guests of the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin during the conference’s opening session on February 10. Raider addressed the group on behalf of NA’AMAT USA.

NA’AMAT USA will send a delegation of more than 30 members to the annual NA’AMAT International Conference scheduled for February 10-16 in Israel. The delegation will be led by national president Elizabeth Raider and will include national officers and representatives from chapters across the United States. The NA’AMAT USA delegation will be honored as special guests of the President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, during the conference’s opening session on February 10. Raider will address the group on behalf of NA’AMAT USA and 8 sister countries.
