Yali Ben-Ami Vitenberg: Director of the NA’AMAT Family Center in Tel Aviv, which includes our women’s shelter, crisis hotline, Abba program, and extensive individual, couples, and family counseling services, as well as workshops and group therapy.
Gavriela Kama Shir: In 2006, her husband Eli, a fighter in the Golani brigade, came home diagnosed with PTSD, which nearly destroyed their marriage and young family. Gavriela is a therapist and the author of “On Love and Battle Shock.” Together, they navigated the complexities and nightmares of that trauma, learning how to support each other and their family through the healing process.
Gavriela’s story highlights the urgent and critical need for healing within families, underscoring NA’AMAT USA’s mission to support women’s rights and combat domestic abuse in Israel. Join us for this important conversation on fostering resilience and nurturing healthy relationships in the face of trauma.
This event commemorates International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Proceeds will benefit our mission in Israel supporting women and families facing domestic abuse.
